Cyber-attacks are on the rise around the world, targeting consumers and businesses, including healthcare.

As part of our efforts to provide you the highest quality healthcare while also protecting your data from cyber-attacks, UW Health along with our partners at Quartz, SwedishAmerican, and Access Community Health Centers will be requiring the use of two-step verification in MyChart beginning April 13, 2021.

What is two-step verification?

Two-step verification improves the security of your MyChart account by using a second step to check your identity. This adds extra protection beyond entering a password when you log in.

How do you use two-step verification?

After you enter your Username and Password, MyChart will send a code to your email on file. You will get the code from your email and enter it into MyChart to finish logging in.

This extra protection means that you need access to your ID, password, and email account to log in. Anyone trying to access your account will not be able to without all three pieces of information. Those who are unable to complete the two-step verification or do not have access to one or more of the necessary pieces of information can contact the MyChart helpdesk at 1-877-768-0732.

We thank you for working with us to keep our healthcare remarkable and your data secure.
